Our story
Three friends. One duck. Built from the ground up.
Lumber Duck Fencing is three friends who all came up swinging hammers and setting posts. One of us is a firefighter. He was brought up in the trades and has become the kind of person who runs toward the hard jobs in order to help others. The next one has also spent years in the construction industry as an installer paying attention to details that you not only notice, but feel when walking into the room. The final one of us came up as a personal trainer and later a roofing professional — two jobs that taught him how to communicate with clarity so nothing gets lost in translation. We each have poured our experiences and skills into this company, so when we say we know fences, we mean it in the field, not just on paper. Together we set out to build a company that treats customers the way we'd want our own families treated.
Integrity is the value we built this company on. We tell you the truth about what your yard needs, not what is most beneficial to a business. We quote honestly, use the materials we say we will, and stand behind every install. No corners cut, no surprise add-ons, no ducking responsibility. If something isn't right — we just fix it.
We opened our doors in 2026 with one promise: the best customer experience and the best fence build quality in the county and beyond. We all have our own families. So we are building something that supports not just us but the next generation — a company our kids can be proud of and our customers can recommend to theirs. We keep our crews small and our relationships tight, answer our phones, show up when we say we will, and build fences that outlast Pacific Northwest weather. We say this to you from our flock to your block. Quack.

Meet the flock
We're three friends who turned a handshake into a company. Different backgrounds, one shared standard: do right by the customer and build a fence we'd be proud to put our own names on.
The Firefighter
Co-Founder - Trust & Integrity
A career firefighter. He brings the same discipline, accountability, and calm-under-pressure mindset to every fence we build. He learned the fencing trade before we all came together, so he knows what a good install looks like from the ground up. He started Lumber Duck Fencing to give homeowners someone they can actually trust.
The Tradesmen
Co-Founder - Quality
A tradesman who has spent years in the construction industry as an installer paying attention to details you not only see, but feel. He keeps our crews running tight, holds every install to his standard, and makes sure each job site is left cleaner than we found it. He started Lumber Duck Fencing to give homeowners the quality they deserve.
The Advisor
Co-Founder - Professionalism
He started out as a personal trainer and later worked as a roofing professional which taught him how to listen, read the room, and communicate with clarity. He makes sure nothing gets lost in translation and breaks down big decisions into plain language. He keeps every customer in the loop from first quote to final walkthrough so you always know exactly what's happening and why. He started Lumber Duck Fencing to give homeowners a genuinely enjoyable start to finish process.
What we stand for
Integrity, first
It's the value we built Lumber Duck on. We give you the straight story about your fence — what you need, what you don't, and what it really costs. That's the standard we hold ourselves to on every build, every time.
Accountability
If something's off, we fix it. Every install carries a workmanship guarantee.
